I know someone currently living in Hungary.

Hungary is rapidly turning into a fascist dictatorship.
- they have lost freedom of the press
- they have lost freedom of religion, with several religions being declared “not really a religion”
- the country’s name has been changed (it’s no longer the “republic” of Hungary; just “Hungary”)
- the constitution has been rewritten, making it almost impossible for the government to lose power (among other things)
- the last independent radio station has lost its license and will have to stop airing in February
- the newspapers aren’t allowed to report on all of this
- their tv news reporters are hunger striking in protest
- a quarter of the nation’s doctors have resigned because they aren’t getting paid enough
- taxes on goods have been raised to 27%
- they’re likely to be expelled from the EU
